Ship not loading properly & breaking constantly

Don't know if this is an issue with a mod I have or with Starbound in general. Basically what's happening is that when I'm on my ship, furniture will disappear and reappear (always groups/chunks of several items at a time) no matter how close I am to them, my crew and pets will walk in place, it'll act as if it has to load to open menus, which I've never experienced before, and everything will generally be a laggy mess even though I'm on singleplayer.

The strange part is that when I beam onto a planet, my game returns to normal. This tells me that it probably has something to do with my shipworld file, or so I've heard. People keep telling each other to just delete it if it acts up, but I'm playing in byos mode in Frackin Universe and I really don't want to lose my progress. Is there an other solution? Any suggestions would be of great help.
