Distortion Sphere Testing

When I am at the testing area for the distortion sphere, I cannot go into sphere form, I have the head tech button set to default, and still nothing happens. I cannot progress through the testing area at all.

I can't use it either, i tried "/maketechavailable distortionsphere" and that did not allow it to work either. My friend who was playing on a character from the previous build was still able to use the tech though.

Edit:
So i cheated to complete the quest "/completequest techscientist6", and then bought a different ball form and discovered only distortion sphere doesnt work, the other ball forms do however.

I deleted my original message, because I found it may've been related to a mod I installed. I have yet to test. (The mod's called "Improved Techs")

Edit: Finished testing... I was successfully able to complete the testing course with the recent update to that mod. Either A: The author included a hotfix for a bug in the game itself, or B: The bug was with the mod, and that was fixed.
