Moon ^^

Plains also. Those are the meta planet biomes. There are far too many sub-biomes for us to have figured out yet. Coolest one I've found so far is crystal biomes.

I haven't seen it myself but I've heard others talk about Grassland (or Plains?) as well.
Borril Dec 8, 2013 @ 10:13am
I believe Grasslands, I know they have tentacle, crystal, ocean (not implemnted yet) frozen ocean (I believe the same) Volcanic, stuff like that, but they haven't added them in or have them in the higher tiers.
Astasia Dec 8, 2013 @ 10:14am
Oh yes, volcanic are in right now too.

The official wiki is a good source for a list of all Biomes:

God , i would love an ocean one.
illidian Dec 8, 2013 @ 10:23am
you can also build straight up from any planet to asteroids....takes about 10 minutes of jumping but they are up there...
Proteus Dec 8, 2013 @ 10:25am
Yep, or 5 minutes of running, if you built is like a "stairs to the stars".

Unfortunately even the snow soldiers gear doesn´t prevent that in the asteroids mini-biome your heat levels falls dangerously low within seconds. And even a campfire (which miraculously works in the absence of oxygen :D ) only slows down your rate of cooling down.

Except that's wrong though (outdated). Eyeball, brain, and tencticle are not planet biomes, they are sub-biomes like giant flower and giant mushroom. Brain isn't even a real biome, it's just a tree style and background for forest biomes, there's no special items or anything involved. It obviously doesn't have Arid, unless arid and savannah are the same, and maybe "artic" is the current snow planet biome.

Also the "crystal" biome I was talking about before was not that type of crystal biome, I found one underground.

This will give you an idea. Probably not accurate anymore considering this was in August.

Yes, I agree that most of them just are planetary sub biomes (which is why I think that it is better to refer to the "planetary biomes" as "planet types" (which may contain one or multiple of those things that are listed as (Sub-)Biomes) in the wiki) .

Tentacle is a planet biome; you'll see these planets in X Sector.
Oiji Dec 8, 2013 @ 10:45am
How do you get to the next sector after B?
Vexlanei Dec 8, 2013 @ 11:53am
If I recall correctly, you have to assemble the Inactive Robot; it's the next boss, and it opens up Gamma sector.
