Bought it anyway.
I have no real problem with games taking the lead from other games. The main problem I had with Terraria is every other weak a patch would roll out that would require you to lose all your progress and remake your world. Then finally they said there was no more patches, so I started playing "for real", then they released another patch so I lost my world again. Then they said "no serious, you can start playing now", then they announced Terraria 2.. So much facepalm I just stopped playing. I hope they find a way around making all our effort for nothing, and I hope they don't announce Starbound 2.0 when the game is finally stable.

That did not happen for me in Terraria. I might had to create a new world to get the new items and such but my character was still there.
