Evolve or Hamachi?

so me and my friend play starbound and we wanna play multiplayer but what is best to use Hamachi or Evolve and pls do not start wars just say which is better about each one and remember everyone has an opinion

You don;t really need either to play multiplayer. Just find a place nobody has gone yet.

ive used hamachi and it works pretty well. But i like port forwarding rather than using that software. its kinda hard to figure out but you do it once and your friends can connect without needing hamachi. Then again, i heard port forwarding isnt very secure... im not too sure about that as i havent looked into it myself but i think its worth giving it a look.

Well hamachi is pretty good if you know eachothers IP :D

i am sorry but this comment is wrong.

Hamachi gives you an ip for you to use. it is not your actual one. and it is listed next to peoples name one they join a network you are in. you right click and you can copy it.
i am pretty sure if you port forward throu the router you use you actual ip.

i personaly use hamachi because its much easier to set up than porting i use it on many games. i never used evolve.

When you know how to port forward it's super easy to reuse for any game in the future as well. Plus things outside gaming.

Yeah, let's not forget this program is always running in the background, always chewing up resources, and there's the the space it takes up, it's only a few meg granted, but that's a few meg you could be using on other programs that ACTUALLY do something.

Yea, but open ports make atack on you easier. It's like keeping a doors open.

hamachi is just to connect with friends but evove is to chat play and talk so hamachi is simpler

Open your port for Starbound, you can find on internet if you search. No need any kind of program. Than open with GL. Have fun!
