Hey look we got someone living in the past looking for ''levels'' on planets.

Theres no numbers, its words now m8.

Its actually very clear to see once you select a planet.

<sigh>

If the threat level was obvious on the radar i wouldn't take my time to make a discussion about it on Steam.

then why dont i have a problem with it? better yet why havent you checked an uptodate wiki or youtube first.

these are the real questions.

You select a planet then see how its classified anything thats life threating about the biome conditions are also in a different font colour.
otherwise its safe.

order of progression:

eccentric
radioactive
frozen
fiery

need any more things you could have figured out in no time instead of replying to me and not thinking of doing so.

im not joking when i said it was CLEAR and NOTICABLE because it is easy to tell how dangerous a planet is.

infact this is the first thread of this topic ive seen since the new update so apprently it is easy for alot of other people to notice WORDS too.

It is displayed on the map. (Peaceful etc..) Higher level systems can still include one or two planets from the previous tier.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, but your comment wasn't helpful in anyway.

I need to know exactly what threat level number (1,2,3) the planet is because i need to fine a certain ore who only spawns on planets of threat level 3 and above, and i can't be bothered with visiting thousands of planets and just hope i get lucky.. Thats not how it's supposed to be.

ITS NOT IN NUMBERS ANYMORE

And i literally just told you the order of progression of systems you need to go through in the game.

you know what 2 people (including myself) have told you how to progress and where to find the threat level and how easy it is.

im gonna mark you down as either confused and trusting sources from an outdated wiki or a troll.

have fun.

There isn't a threat number anymore. It's threat levels (Peaceful, dangerous etc..).

I think the old level system was dropped a few months back in the nightly build, which was then pushed to unstable, then finally stable.

It was just a placeholder.

So the information "can be found on threat levels 3 or above" is completely useless then. Great. Looks like they really wanted starbounders to grind hard, instead of having some form of strategy or gameplan. Great way to go. Not.

Don't know where you got that information? From an out-dated wiki? If you post what material you need, people can tell you where you find that in the current build.

The wiki's are updated by players or i guess whoever runs the site, CH are in no way in controll of outside information resources on their game.

Most of the stuff is common sense and trial and error anyway and we did tell you how to know threat levels and the order of system progression.

This guide, on pretty much what you could call a main starbound wiki is out of date.

I had the same issues you are having when I looked up "starbound titanium ore" in google and followed the first link, to starbounder.

I figured it like this;
1- harmless
2- mostly harmless
3- Moderate
4- Risky
Dangerous
Extreme

and so on. This worked. First moderate planet i found, got me some titaium! Good luck.
