I think I'm gonna wait till someone makes a mod where you can repair pick axes or drills. The time consuming redundant nature of pick axes is turning me off from playing. It was hard enough with the minerals being sparesely spreadout but now with the lack of ore repairing; I understand why some people say the mining feels like grinding for levels in mmorpgs / call it MineBound lol
I'm happy with these changes, the repair system was broken. Now early players can use picks to hurry down to get ores, which is nice, but for any player that has upgraded the mm should know the right choice.
I'm still going to hold off playing till a mining repair mod is made. Just not my cup of tea to partake in such an elongated route to continue mining when I run out of pickaxes or drills.
I'm not. I'm just going to wait till a mod that allows some form of repairing come out before I continue.
This is one small thing. Realize the MM is more useful in more situations and stop complaining so obsessively.
The devs tried on this update. Nice to see it was wasted on some.
Just as this thread of conversations was ending, someone who can't stands differences in opinions appears.
Sorry to disappoint you that I don't agree with you. If a difference of opinion and not caving to another's opinion is considered whiny; guess that's your own perogative.
Just like how not everyone tells other people to punch someone when given a different perspective on a topic. Some prefer the mm for its size; others prefer the drill for its speed. If one was comparing solely on speed of the mm vs drill, the result taking into account of your statement of who to punch would not be quite complacent towards yourself.
Thanks @EmperorC3 @SokerCap @Starbug for your opinions and insightful comments. I appreciate it.
For me I was looking for the fastest tool. So in the early stage, it would be the pick axe due to its sole accessibility and later in the game the drill is faster than the fully upgraded MM with the trade off that the MM covers a larger area. I saw some mods dealing with mining tools in the works for early pickaxes and drills so it helps remedy the issue a bit.
