COORDINATE MEGATHREAD [Upbeat Giraffe]
Hello, I would like to start a new thread with all helpful coordinates that you find on the current patch (Upbeat Giraffe). If you find any planets with villages, APEX facilities and else, please write down the coordinates and name of the planet and post it here. Thank you!

As far as i know it doesn't matter if it's windows 7 or windows 8 it should be the same, it wouldn't be the case if you're on linux or mac, so idk what happen.

Which version of Starbound are you using? Are you pressing "Launch Starbound" or the "Launch Starbound (64-bit OpenGL, experimental!)" button?

The biggest problem that people aren't realizing, when it comes to Windows. The OS isn't the important factor for coordinates. It's whether or not they are using the 32-bit Starbound, or the 64-bit Starbound.

So when someone posts a Coord to a placve, and say "WIndows 7 64-bit" they aren't always using hte 64-bit version, but they may be using the 32-bit (Standard) version instead. It is very frustrating. I've ran into a lot of Coords that are supposed to be "64-bit" but actually only show up for 32-bit. And the only way to get to those coords after the initial failed search, is basically deleting the universe folder to regenerate.

The Original Poster should edit their post to specify this information. Saying something along the lines of "On Windows, Please state if you are using the Standard 'Launch Starbound' Button, or the 64-bit button in the launcher."

It depends if you are using the 32-bit Starbound or the 64-bit Starbound from the launcher on Windows. The Windows OS doesn't matter.

Actually the only time it actually matters, is if you're on a 32-bit windows OS, then you're forced to use the 32-bit Starbound.
When I said I am using the 64 version, I am using the experimental version ;)

I'm just trying to get the point across to everyone. Not trying to single anyone out or anything. It's something I've been trying to get everyone informed on when they post Coords or use a Coord. Maybe if I repeat it enough, it'll finally stick =P

Sides, the person who posted the coord was probably using the 32-bit Starbound. Infact, I can almost garentee it sincve they said "DirectX". There is no DirectX 64-bit version fo Starbound, only OpenGL.

Excellent, there's nothing left to add to you explanation, but for the next time i'll put "starbound 32 bits launched through the play starbound program (directX version)", just in case :c:

Regards :D:

Anyone find a piano?
i cant find the planet please help
@The_Great_Valoo

If you are using Windows 7, and hitting the Launch Starbound button once program opens, the planet is there. X co-ord is positive number, but the Y co-ord is a negeative number.

So Mac/Linux/ other Windows/OpenGL/Experimental 64 none of those will get you there.

If you are using one of them, you'll have to wait for someone else using the same as you to answer.
Be sure to edit your original post with your system, etc so we can help.:watcher:

EDIT: I just saw that you have unstable 2 in your post..which I missed. I was excited thinking I found your Fez. Apologies.

is there anyway to get back to unstable 1? also is there a better way to finding one other than just jumping planet to planet?
