How do I get these new staff weapons? :)

I came into this game as a Avian, wanting to be a mage with a staff weapon. As of now, I have yet to find one, and I'm up to titanium armor at the moment. I'm playing with my friends who have strong guns (we find them EVERYWHERE), and strong swords, and it is making my spear damage look realllly bad. I just want my staff weapon already! :'(

You either find one or make one from Rubium ore iirc. Only ways I know. Finding em seems to be rare too.

Do I need to have some type of advanced crafting station to make them?

Yes, the crafting station that uses Rubium ore. It's after Durasteel I think.

Threat : moderate, Snow planet

UCSM base Facility to the left
Chest with stone chair, table and chest blueprints
Alien Alpaca sweater and Floran dungeon to the right
Boulder staff + stone door blueprint hidden in a surface cave to the far right
Alien Alpaca mask and Stone bed blueprint even further right
Alien Alpaca Legs Further left than the UCSM facility



Keep Exploring the planet surface and you will walk away with the legs, chest and head of the alpaca!

Do I have to be on a certain server to see this planet? I can't see the same planet the the OP is talking about O.o

That thead is from the winter update so you should be able to use them. Unless that user wrote down the wrong coordinates.. ?

Well the X/Y coordinates should put that star right in the center of your screen. You may have to search for Alpha Cas a bit. Once you find that you should be able to pin down the exact planet.

If you still can't find it, go back to that thread at playstarbound and search that thread for "staff".

Yeah, the centered point is space, and I can't find it at any of the stars. :/ pretty lame. ill try searching for staff in the thread. Thanks again :P
