Why would you ignore this? Its good advice if you are buying a game thats not finished lol.
A game with modding support means you don't have to worry about things being removed -- as they can easily be re-implemented.
You might like NEO Scavenger. One of the most important things in the game is getting clean food and water and you don't "beat" the system and have tons of food and water after a while.
Some people don't want to mod or play with mods. And if we bring mods into the picture this game can be anything. Bringing mods into the picture is pretty stupid.
And as it is, the mechanic has been changed. Whats your point again?

I saw reference to the modder xxswatelitexx making one on the forums, but the only mod I found he made was one to re-integrate the temperature change and nothing about food.
