What is the pixel printer?

I tried scanning a couple items including an iron anvil and some furntiture in the printer but when i click scan notihng happens and the item just sits there.

Is it broken or does it only accept certain tiems?

They accept stuff like furniture (bed, statue etc)
but not the weapons/armor and blocs.

And make sure you have enough pixels to scan them before you spend even more pixels to print them.

Pixel Printer, names says it. Needs pixels to print! Get pixels, then print!

95% of the things i try to print dont work so im just gona stay away from it :/

95% o_O u sure have a problem :no pixel or may be misunderstanding how it's working
1 go on a planet
2find an object (like a chest,a bed a light anything exept blocks, stuff or a craftable item )
3 collect it
4 open pixel printer
5 put it on the empty case above the word : SCAN
6 click on SCAN (u need pixel for that the price appear)
7 u done the scan now u can copy it (u need pixel for that too)
8 just click on the item : enjoy

Does the item need to have a price on it when it's in your inventory? such as how a chest has 500 pixel price and a sword has 0 pxel price. when i would try to scan both only the chest would get scanned

I haven't found the rhyme or reason for the printer yet. I could pay 500 pixels for a cheap light that I scanned or pay 50 pixels for one that I can craft.
