Help! Lost my planet :( How do I find it?
FOund some solutions online where the coordinates are in your files, but I don't see them at all. Any help?

Go to your Starbound directory, default is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Starbound\ then go to the universe folder.

Your planet will be listed in there. Example: alpha_12345678_-87654321_56454668_12.world

The first two sets of numbers are the coordinates, so in this example x is 12345678 and y is 87654321, the third number is presumably the specific planet in that solar system.

You might have quite a few depending on how many planets you've been to, but it'll definitely be one of those.

Hope this helps!

Think your screwed. Best thing i can think of to do is try and remember the nearby by starmap patterns. Certain clusters of stars are grouped together with lines on the map.

Try and remember the ones near your homeworld and get searching. Good luck space traveller!

Not sure how you'll find your previous planet, but do like I do. Take notes of each planet you visit/what kind of structure you build on them and take your important things with you when you move.

BOOM, found it the hard way. Saw the dotted line moving in the direction I came from (i had travelled at random) and started to realize how infinite this game is as I followed it. I took 2 coordinate on that line far away from each other to plot a line in Excel, extrapolated the data to find multiple points at the same interval as the original 2 plotted points. Visitd each coordinate until I found one where there the line did not intersect. Widdled down points until I was much closer, then scrolled forever until I found it! Needle in a haystack. :)

...how the hell do you not have a "universe" folder in your Starbound folder?

Now write it down or add it to a TXT file. Do it now. Before you forget.
