best way to get plant fiber?

just wait untill the "creative mode mod" is updated, install it and then buy the upgraded manipulator tool from the box you have to create. i promise, you will get loads of plant fiber ;)

You could harvest the vines hanging from cave ceiling, destroy the plants on jungle planets, or plant and harvest crops.

1) Grow crops, sometimes you get plant fiber, and when you get a big enough field you can get a respectable amount of plant fiber.

2) Go to a new planet, I think forest works best for this, and collect the hanging vines.

There are certain flower trees who drop plant fiber instead of wood (and saplings).

or you could cut vines that are in tunnles,harvest fiber from growing plants in farms,and what i think the best way is to go to a jungle biome and destroy all the plants.

Jungle Biome planets. All the plants on the surface give fibers and cave plants. Make sure to use an axe to chop, and not a matter manipulator.

You say this like matter manipulator doesn't work. It does, it's just extremely slow. But ya, axe works best/fastest.
