Auto open/close door

I want to make an automatic open/close door that closes right after your through the door. How do i do this?

You can do this with the wiring tool. Simply create two floor buttons and attach them to either side of the door with the wiring tool. The wiring tool is obtained from the ship computer after upgrading your ship to level two. Floor buttons can be crafted at the Wiring Station, or in some dungeons like the Apex Testing Labs.

It is possible without any mods. But you need the wiring tool and the wiring station. With that station you can craft a lot of things that can improve your wiring if you know how to do this.

You could use the wire tool, and station to create proximity scanners, and hook them up to the doors you want. http://starbounder.org/Proximity_Scanner
