You can find Platinum on every single planet, with the exception of moons. It looks almost exactly like silver, but has a lighter outline, and is found semi-rarely at great depth. The more dangerous the planet you go to, the more likely you'll be to find larger platinum veins.

Try arid or desert planet,moderate or higher usuallt have more but I found plenty on barren type of planet if im not ready for higher planet
