Why cant I craft wooden planks?

I just started again with the latest update and cant even craft a crafting table, great.
Playing as Novakid, if it matters.

As a human player it works, but I still want to play as Novakid, though.

There was one unstable build where Apex specifically couldn't craft wooden platforms; it could be a bug along those lines. I suggest reporting it.

There is a rare bug it seems where you occasionally can't craft wooden planks on a new character for some reason. Reloading that character should fix it. I've seen 3 other people report the same thing, I still can't tell if people are just overlooking it the first time or not. A dev responded to one of the threads basically saying "we aren't seeing this."

I have a brand new character with only 8 craftables and no wood planks I have no filter on and I need planks to build a crafting table. I am a human.

Edit: I just exited and reentered and it seems to have fixed this.
