i've been attempting to change the .pak files of a couple of mods the other day just so i can understand how the codding works for starbound, but i am a bit of a moron, and messed up the the configuration on the computer that thells the OS wich program should it use to open a file by default, its set to winrar.

Winrar isnt opening .pak files, 7zip either, and since this is messed up and i dont know how to undo this problem, i came here for help, is there a way to undo this thing and rever how the windows reads things back ?
or is there a way to make winrar or 7zip read and unpack .pak files ?
or is there a software to upack them ?

thanks in advance, and sorry if my english is bad or broken, my hands are chilling by the time i am writting this.

Zipping tools can't unpack pak files, you need to use the pak file unpacker that's provided by SB.

It's the exact same process as unpacking SB's assets, so here's a link to the wiki's modding tutorial.[starbounder.org]
You only need to follow step 1 to unpack something, make sure to edit the last 2 variables in the CMD command if you want to unpack anything other than the assets.

Also, it's worth mentioning that the default unpack location that the wiki provides is a bit dangerous since SB is fully capable of loading unpacked mods and will load the assets twice (increasing loading time) if the unpacked version is left there, it only really needs to be in there while using Tiled.
