Hard lush/forest planets?
I want to make a base on a cozy planet, but all the nice planets are so easy with low lvl loot and the "hard" ones where i possibly could find some nice stuff are ugly hellholes. Damnit. Is there a way to get a lush of forest planet with hard mobs and end game stuff?

yeah it would be cool if the tiering was more random like that it would add variety.. like jungle/forest planets with carnivorous plants and deadly enemies

Ocean, snow and arid provide very nice scenery with adequite loot. Titanium can be mined, fabricated into durasteel, and sold.

Building a permanent base on a high level planet to gather loot sounds unreasonable to me. You don't have to have a permanent base on a planet, if any base at all, to extract its loots.

Well, i dont really need anything, per se, as i seem to have hit the end of the line. Dont really know why i would need money either as i havent used any so far, except for bying a ton of those papers that brings npc to the base. Just thought id make a base in a nice place, just to have something to do, but it would be nice if not all the mobs are one shot and could possibly even hurt me, like for a little challange, and then explore the whole planet and mabye finding something unique to high lvl planets, as i havent really bothered with those places much. Make some dungeons, mines and monster farms or whatever idk. Having my epic kingdom on a noob planet just seems so lame. Guess ill go with a snow or ocean world then.

You can farm in space if that floats your boat. Plants only seem to care if they are drowning.

You might want try the Frackin Universe mod to get some nicer looking high level worlds. One of the new world type is the Unknown world. These worlds have totally random biomes (I've found ocean biomes in underground layers for example) and a fairly wide rate of threat ratings (I've seen them go well above the normal range to things like Insane). If you get lucky you might find one with a high rating and a good base biome. FU also adds some nice stuff that doesn't really change much of the base game, just adds new stuff (some new low level ores might appear on a Lush world for example but that would be about it).

I do dislike that difficulty seems to be tied to biome type.

If you are into modding the game at all then this was all I had to do to force a garden biome:

universe_server.config.patch:

[

{ "op" : "replace", "path" : "/findStarterWorldParameters/starterWorld/terrestrialBiome", "value" : "garden" },

{ "op" : "replace", "path" : "/findStarterWorldParameters/starterWorld/terrestrialSize", "value" : "small" }

]
