Seems kind of like unbridled optimism in a refuge for cynics. They'll keep asking for refunds, posting links to evidence they have regarding CF's slipshod behavior, and giving it whatever review they think is fair.
The thought is nice though, I'll admit, so thanks for that much.
Well, they aren't going to give refunds, so it's not like asking hurts anyone.
But beyond that, this game was funded before it ever hit EA. They could refund 50% of sales and still be fully funded.
Not everyone who develops starbound lives in London. I believe only half of the actual coders do, the rest telecommute. Likely from the USA.
But who cares? If anything, it shows CF how easy it is to organize data. They should take a lesson and have a dedicated news page instead of this roulette of media they tend to use.
There's nothing stopping CF from putting up or shutting up. If they are going to talk the talk, they better start walking.
There is a campaign to upvote negative reviews??? You mean like your attempt, just now, to start a campaign to upvote positive reviews? Yeah, word of mouth is a conspiracy!
I have no idea what this means. Who is encouraging CF to ban people? They don't seem to needt the encouragement.
2. no. i would have never supported the devs had i seen the kinds of thing in that gallary.
3. no. ive given them over half a year. they just keep on with the same old song and dance.
4. unapplicable, do not like the game as it stands.
5. no. untill they learn cause and effect, they will dig their own grave.
overall, nice ideas and gestures, but CF wont even meet us halfway. well, 6 months later they'll try, but by then they have bitten the hand that fed them.
Unbridled Optimism is what brought the money into CF company accounts, and we all wanted it. No reason time cannot provide realisation of this. Going more Sci-Fi woudl really help.. Melee is kind of superflous in space, so more emphasis should go to Sci-Fi weaponry as core to the experience. Sci-Fi sandbox builder rpg is what got us in the heart and wallet!
It's seriously pathetic that knights called critics tinfoil hats... Now YOU are the ones crying conspiracy!
You are using the word conspiracy. It's semantics. At election time there is a "conspiracy" to help elect a candidate, Campaign / Conspiracy. Yes it exists I am a part of it. But balance is important. If they can't muster a counrer campaign, or even post their own positives, so be it.
Can the defenders not raise a counter revolotion?. Personally I doubt it, but that's more the fault of CF not giving them the ammo or timeframe for gameplay improvements.
I'm not sure how to respond to this. I guess the only thing to say is that if they haven't "balanced" the reviews by now, it's because there is no such "balance".
It;s like the utlity companies on review sites. 95% slating terrible service. You are unhappy you can vent and complain, If you are happt you don;t have much else to say.
On the evidence point, nothing there would hold up enforcing a refund. Only way a refund happens is if the game is removed from steam. Developers have through inexperience and frustration allowed things to be said in firstration and then be screengrabbed to tear them down later. PR own goal, but not indicative of fraud or dishonesty.
Reviews aren't stictly for complaining.
Simple as that.
