I've had a colonist on a volcanic planet survive ok, so you don't have to worry about bio-implants. Weather however, I'm assuming to be dangerous. I'm yet to see a colonist get dissolved by acid rain, or see a meteor crash into their house, but if the colonist does die they will respawn, as long as the house is still ok. I guess you have to be lucky with meteors
I got 2 floran villagers and 1 human merchant so far. Couldn't afford more than 3 deeds at this point and the housing is pretty basic. So far I've collected only crops for rent, meh.
I need 4 more upgrade modules for my last ship upgrade, seem to have found pretty many of those things in chests while exploring.
Edit: oh a floran just paid me 10 throwing daggers, lol.
Chuckle fish expressed thier interest in allowing game progression with colonies and farming...
Yep they've given me quests to do, mainly colony building stuff.

So far I've built 8 colony houses and I've got one quest waiting to find Apex furnishings.
Not really much entertainment value for end-game content.
I built a big farm, I think that farming is marginally improved over what it was originally. The crops grow relatively quickly once they've been watered. Since they removed hunger as a survival mechanic, the only reason to cook and eat is for the buffs. Some food buffs are pretty good, but I liked the hunger mechanic.
I could repeat the boss fights, but there's no unique rewards for doing that it seems.
The main thing they've added to the game in the past 3 years that I see as an improvement is the upgradeable ships.
The older style boss fights with unique drops were almost better than the missions they have now. The only problem is the old boss fights could be made pretty trivial with a little preparation.
The Pickaxes and Drills seem pretty useless now since they wear out so quickly and can't be repaired. Once you get the M.M. upgraded that's all you really need. The Wiring and Painting tools need to have some kinda upgrade requirements too I think; I have a big stack of excess manipulator modules left over.
The hoverbike kinda sucks on hilly terrain, it needs to fly a bit higher and handle hills better.
And why is Aegisalt Rifle better than Ferozium Rifle?
its a mullti lvl building with apartments looks like ones i have seen online except i made windows huge to give em loft feel please help this is making me nuts(well more so)
my building (as much as fits its all same more or less though
