Can't Explore Frozen Planets

Hi, I am currently stuck trying to find the Apex civilization to take the clues. However these are sometimes found in frozen artic planets. I can't access those since they are too cold and even my mech can't handle them. I have no clue how to get the necessary equipment to explore those planet or what to craft in order to help me in my quest. Any help on what to do next in order to get to these planets?

Do you have the EPP with the heating upgrade?

EPP is the only thing preventing you from going to higher tiers, make a better one

You have to craft a better EPP in order to go on the frozen planets. You could do so in the workbench.
