you have to travel to the moons, dig down as fast as possible, but not straight(you can´t die because of falling), course there is a monster following you since you collected the first piece of fuel ore. Better is to go deep down til you reach the liquid fuel. But for collecting liquids you have to upgrade your manipulator first with three upgrade modules. Otherwise just first collect those pink ores, till you found three upgrade modules for your manipulator somewhere on the planets.

You can also buy as much fuel as you'd like at the outpost at the infinity mart.

Theres not a ton else to spend large amounts of money on. Even then 1000 fuel is only like 5k.

Plus time spent mining a moon is not time spent mining ores on a planet and finding loot chests n challenge doors and getting figures and seeds, ect. Though it can be time well spent if you intend to late game make a moon colony or use all the mined must rock/dust to land bridge massive ore from asteroids.

You can travel within the solar system you start in. It makes little sense, but you can.

If you are on the first planet, you can travel to the moon, if i remember right. Somewhere i got my fuel from too, and i didn´t buy but took it from the moon.
xD

Its funny, i need lets say several minutes on the moon. I dig down as fast as possible, but not in a straight line, till i reach the fuel pools and to collect that liquid fuel. When i beam back up to my ship, after let´s say 5 minutes, i have several thousands of fuel, just from the liquid pools.

For me it´s fun and chilling to collect fuel on the moons..

But a moon base is a good idea, or at least a flag on several moons., never thought about that:steamhappy:

Moon colonies are the only way to get tier 10 weapons without commands or mods. Even volcanic planets only give tier 6.

You haven't done the first mission yet to repair your ship probably then. You get the quest at the outpos from the granny in the floating chair far to the right.

You have to go to the moon of the starter planet, if i remember right, and you can go there.
Otherwise buy some fuel, as Promised said.

Aaah, i am almost new to the game, and i was wondering about where or how to get better weapons. Think i have to read about that Tier thing first.

Since i have upgraded the three anvils and made the armor that i like, i am just searching for a better weapon, but only find less powerful weapons than the one i found earlier in the game.

I didn't believe a guy on Reddit who said Starbound would be more complicated than another unrelevant product which I countered with that Starbound is so easy that no one with a bit of gaming experience should have trouble with it.
Guess I was wrong.

Don´t you have to go back to the penguin shop in the outpost, or that shop with the old man to the left of the penguin shop, so that he can repair your ship?
