What I don't know is, can you level them up to get stronger? Or is it just whatever you catch and a collar?
Well, sounds like your after the wild ones on the planet, right?
Anyway, in order to tame a pet, you've gotta get one of those Capture Pods. Like in Pokemon, you can't just out right capture them- you've got to weaken it without killing it. When it finally has low health (less than half its health bar), toss the pod at it.
Now you've got yourself a new traveling partner!
I was wondering that, too. I did notice something, though.
Whenever I update my armor to the next tier, their stats increase a bit. Maybe they level up with you?
About the best are now Kleux sentry, adult poptop, giant birds sometimes found very high up in the sky.
Kleux sentry with healing 3 collar dies rarely.
Also you can't make the healing station to revive them until mid/early end game where you reach durasteel tier.
Also, even in end game armor don't expect pets 1.0 to survive boss battles.
Plus most aren't good.
