How to get rid of pets in capture pods?
I recently crafted my first capture pod and in order to test it, I captured a procedurally generated monster on the planet I was orbiting. I've noticed that it isn't exactly the best at killing things, so I wanted to get rid of it and get something like a Poptop instead. Problem is, I have no idea how to get rid of the monster in the capture pod (When I say this, I mean empty the capture pod so it holds no monster) so I can get a new one.

TL;DR - I want to empty my capture pod. Anyone know how?

You can't empty a capture pod.

That capture pod is gone. period. You need to make another one and keep or throw that one away.

Thank you. Looks like i'm stuck with this stupid monster... Hopefully Chucklefish implements some sort of pod emptying station or a keybind to rid of captured monsters in the future.

They don't need a pod emptying system because pods are easy to make more of. Theres two diamonds for instance in the ocean you can find during the hylot mission before entering the great library. You go all the way to the right on the ocean and then down, this is the only real use I've had for the boat so far. Theres two diamond deposits on the ocean floor.

Also most monsters suck unique or not as pets. I've caught a bunch now. Adult poptop does have a lot of hp but he gets easily stuck, its a very VERY slow to attack pet too.

I've been trying to catch every unique. Kluex Sentry from the avian mission is kind of cool to look at flying around you. Mine attacks fairly often for 40 damage a hit and often flies up out of the way of enemies. Also its attack is ranged.

Also, most creatures are going to be rather poor at killing things.

My favorite however (The Fennex) is somewhat more decent since it has a ranged attack.

I myself recently caught a Kluex Sentry and out of the pets I have so far (other two are Poptop and Smoglin) it's the best. Though I put a damage collar on my Poptop and if I can find a way to remove it and put it on the Sentry that'd be great. Otherwise it looks like i'm gonna be using admin mode.
