is there any faster way of finding upgrade modules?

no, unless you /admin spawn them in.

Sometimes you can find easy quests for Reward Bags that will sometimes have Upgrade Modules in them, but the chance is somewhat slim because you can get a (quoted from the wiki) "Tech Card, Manipulator Module, Upgrade Module, Teleporter Core, or a random vanity item" in them. So basicly you either take a chance with that or go treasure hunting.

Try lush planets and going through the mine on each one. I think I usually found at least one or two per run.

You can settle a base on barren world or lush planet, spawn few tenants and wait for quests. Quick farming for reward bags -> upgrade modules.
