I can`t find a guide for raising livestock animals

I bought the eggs what do i need to do to raise then and keep them happy and alive

It's pretty simple. Place the egg on the ground. It will soon hatch. The animal does not need food and it will grow from baby to adult. Nothing can kill them (except lava i think) so you only need to worry about keeping them contained in a fence or something. When the animal is ready to be harvested for its resource you just need to interact with it.

All my livestock are in my farm, next to my baker tenant. He's lazy sometimes and leaves doors open.

Oh. That makes sense. I keep my livestock on the edge of my colony with my greenhouse inbetween. No one wanders over there.
