Flower petals?

So ive been working on some big projects, and in some of those projects im using ornate roof which requires dye, which requires blue petals. Is there a way to grow flowers that you can harvest or Do I need to scavenge for them all the time.

I think you can use the Matter Manipulator on the flowers to pull their seeds out of the ground. I assume you can plant and grow them like normal crops that way.

Theres probably a tree somewhere.

I know theres those giant vine trees with flowers on top but i don't think they drop a sapling. And today I've found a biome that full of trees with giant roses but I only saw yellow and pink/red.

Are you really that averse to tearing down ornate roof wherever you find it? Even if you like to leave inhabited places alone, there are abandoned dungeons that have it, on surface planets as well as underwater.
