How to use water with MM?

Hello everyone, perhaps this is a stupid question, but how can i use water with the matter manipulator, when I've collected the water and want to fill up a hole or a fountain for example? In the beta I could use it like all other materials, but now it won't "flow". I'd like to make a rice field or a swimming pool...

i think you can drop it, from the hotbar. atleast i dropped a bunch of healing water n it made a puddle

You place it like a block but there has to be a background or it won't go. Water will disappear if the background behind it is removed.

water/liquids stay only if there is a wall in the background, and u place them like any other blocks, i suggest above the pool so it falls in it to filll it up

Aaahhh...the missing backround is the problem. Thanks, I'll try it with backround! :-)
