Tips for water planets please?

I just complated the floran mission and now i need to do the hylotil one. How do i travel and get around the water planets easier?

There's nothing up top worth the effort of exploring. The sphere tech and the nano-boat aren't wortwhile investments.

Swimming faster, if not accomplished by speed augments or stims, probably isn't possible.

Use your hoverbike, which is a worthwhile investment since it has many other uses. The hoverbike speedily sinks to the ground, and can go very fast on the ocean surface. Look for colonies underwater, yes, they're there.

Search the surface for a Hylotl house and then go underwater to the bottom of the ocean. Chances are there will be a Hylotl village/city there. You need a breathing EPP at the very least, though.

i read that reef cola let you move faster underwater. It's sold on any drink machine on the game.

If you had the Mechs mod in, get a Rho and walk with the Breathing EPP

You should use the breathing EPP then you can breath underwater

The tips of water planets are called islands. Sometimes icebergs.

The EPP will let you wonder around at the bottom of the ocean forever. I would probably advise bringing an automatic/quick firing weapon as projectiles will be slowed. The floating morphball tech is also a great thing to have since you can pretty much just hit F and you will be at the surface in a second or two.

On Ocean planets, Hylotl will build their structures in one of two places: 1) on the islands up on the surface (the less common location), or 2) on the ocean seabed in large Durasteel cities. Since the latter is more common, I recommend obtaining a Breathing EPP or higher, a hoverbike of any color, some form of either assault rifle, shotgun, or machine pistol with a high rate of fire, and the Aqua Sphere tech in case you need to quickly surface.
If you have XS Mechs, you can also get a mech such as the Rho or Sigma to strike a balance between movement speed underwater and responsive attack power. The standard Sigma model is the least expensive at only 7000 pixels, and can still deal a decent amount of damage with its twin miniguns due to their high rate of fire.
