What use for fossils ?

Hi guys, sorry for bad english, I'm french. I'd like to know if there's something special with fossils. I collected all of them and I thought some of them could be revived or something like that. It's just decorative ?

Okay thank you ! I'm a bit disappointed, the text about it was saying "Successfully removed fossils can be placed as trophies, some have very special properties and perhaps some of these long dead creatures can even be revived."
But that's okay, they look awesome :)

When it comes to Sandbox games like this one problem someone can run into is having no clear goal in game. In order to fix this, I make goals for myself.
One such goal I made was acquiring every fossil in the game and putting them all in a giant underwater base I'm currently building.
