Mods Crashing my game >:l
I just installed some mods and now when I load starbound there's a giant white box where the (no) chuckling fish should be and then my game crashes 1 minutes later as it is "not responding".

I tried verifying my game cache but that hasnt fixed the problem....halp

Remove the mods.
Then add them 1 at a time...
....until... you crash.
Then you will know which mod is problematic.

You could also list ALL the mods you are trying to use here and people can tell you if there is perhaps a conflict they know of.

You could also mention how you are installing mods. Through Steam Workshop? Or manually by downloading from Nexus and Chucklefish mods page?

im installing them using the steam workshop and my logic made me think that nothing would go wrong by using the steam workshop

Conflicts will make the game crash sometimes.

So it is possible all the mods you are running will run fine.. if you only run "only them". However.. when you run many mods. sometimes 1 mod will intefer with another mod. This cannot be helped, even if both mods are made perfectly.

Well... it can be fixed if one or both mod-authors decide to work together to make their mods compatible with each other.

Best guess is you may be using two mods that both are trying to change the same thing.. or a similar thing in different ways.

Example: "Enhanced Storage" .... and "Improved Containers" mods can cause the game to crash (when interacting with containers) because both of the mods are trying to modify containers but are not working together in harmony. However.. if you use only ONE of those mods.. the game will be fine. It is "together" they become a problem.

I feel incredibly stupid but it turns out the game was crashing purely because of the larger containers and that the outdated version wasnt installed (the outdated version was required but because it wasnt installed it caused the crashing problem)

Check your starbound.log in your starbound/storage folder.

I found the problem, I didnt have a previous version of a mod that was required for the newer one to work

Did it happen to be Augment Slots for Armor Redux? I'm crashing non-stop and I think it's related but after unsubscribing, I'm still crashing. I'm afraid to uninstall all my mods because it's going to break so many things and probably destroy my character....
