How do I plant Cotton / Get more Cotton?

Seems like a rarity, and I haven't found seeds for them. Any help would be appreciated.

If you break them you get the seeds.

You break the cotton plants and get the seeds, then you make a hoe, build a farm and plant them.

The problem seems to be that cotton is very rare on some planets. I couldnt find a single plant on my starting planet and even now I think I only have three plants.

Or you could install the Give Me Cotton mod.. and buy it.

If it's not on your starting planet, you can always go to another one. Just run around lush or forest planets and you'll eventually find plenty.
