Better weapons?

I noticed that I can't seem to find any better weapons. I'm on a snowy (Dangerous) planet orbiting a Radioactive Star, and I still have relatively weak weapons. I've found other weapons, but they were all mediocre. Haven't seen any weapon traders, either.

Any advice or where I can find really good weapons or weapon traders?

Depends on what type you find. Legendaries are always better. Basically just luck to get good ones. Or craft better weapons

I have one legendary (Ixodoom's Claw) but at this point it's already too weak. I've found a lot of guns and axes but they were all much weaker than my legendary.

Do you have the DPS mod which shows you the level and dps from any weapon? Try to get it, it helps yo to find better weapons.

Is there a shop where I can buy weapons, though? Like weapon traders, etc.? I remember seeing an airship or two but I didn't bother checking them since I didn't have platforms with me.

When youre done with the outpost quests you are able to buy legendaries and upgrades for your legendaries at a special trader. And there are always traders on planets and they sell weapons too.

Don't forget a lot of your damage comes from your armor. Your weapons might be great for the content you are fighting, just you are missing out on a lot of damage multiplication from armor.

I did notice a "Legendary Trader" after completing the Hylotl mission, but the only legendary weapon he had was some crossbow, and I need dubloons for that. And alright, I'll keep my eye out for those traders. Thanks again! ^^

Ah, that's true. Right now I have full titanium armour, but I guess being around a radioactive star, I should already try to get Durasteel armour or better.
