ERROR : Unable to start local server [FIXED]

Hi, I bought the game yesterday to play with friends, but when I want to host (I start the starbound_server.exe, then click on my character in starbound start game menu) an error comes out:
ERROR
Unable to start local server
(UniverseServerException) Could not
aquire lock for the universe directory.

I tryed to start server on my 2 computers, but there is still the same error...
I don't know what to do Help MEEE!!!!!!

Why won't you play through steam?

steam don't want to launch the server by the launcher.
I need to start the server by going in the folder...

I can launch only one app. Starbound or the server. Can't run both... don't know why

Same here, not sure if they did that on purpose, or accident. If you add the executable from the Starbound folder as a non-steam game, u can have the server and game running at the same time. Just a small workaround for now at least, I hope they fix that.

You cannot play a single player game while you are running the dedicated server.

Instead, you need to join game and use your local address. 127.0.0.1

Alternatively, run the game as single player and invite your friends through your friends list, you do not need to run the server to do it this way.

have you tried enabling connect via ip and multiplayer via steam friends? otherwise, it won't work.

Can i use mods and invite through steam?
