"b-b-but i want a bit of a challenge..." <<yawn>>
So yeah, either get a mod that changes hunger to pause if you're still or play casual.
I severely regretted having picked survival for both, the constant starving to death (it doesn't even warn you properly past the blinking bar which is more than easy enough to overlook) and then losing my bandages and dying a few more times trying to get my stuff back from the initial death because my bandages are there.
Luckily I got the file edited so it's casual now and it made things a lot less annoying.
are you kidding me, read damn title, !!!AFK!!!, tp to ship just to untab into hardcore screen death with full inventory of food and 3 hours of gameplay wasted.
I'm glad the renovating of the spaceship is such a HARDCORE experience thanks to having to eat.
No wait it's actually just cumbersome. Like, I get it for when you are on a planet but in your spaceship? In which you can get nothing done? Come on, why can't hunger be static in there. Have the ship serve as the 'pause' screen. Would only be nice. I can not Save & Quit in multiplayer if my ship is the 'main hub', so to say.
don't you think that such arbitrary action is plain stupid, i already pressed "beam to ship" button, why i must do some additional actions just to keep my character alive?
If his trick works, then sleeping anywhere will make your hunger bar freeze.
The ship is not the 'pause screen', the various beds are. There is no 'additional actions' since beaming maybe isn't required. It's just one action still: get a bed.
