COTTON!

For the life of me I cannot find cotton in any systems, even on lush planets... anyone know where I can find cotton plants?

I have this trouble myself, i find its better to just farm it yourself

If you find just one cotton plant you can break it and it will give you a seed

try forest, as they are on forested areas... sometimes.... not always... I was just... blessed having a nice starter location. ><

There should be cotton plants growing on the starter planet. If there aren't any then either your planet is bugged, or you're mistaking the cotton for something else and ignoring it.

If you give up on finding cotton, go into admin mode and type
/spawnitem cottonseed 1
To get into admin mode you open chat and type /admin

Finding cotton is troublesome especially when you need so much cotton in the beginning. Make sure to collect every single plant you see with your Manipulator to get the seed and plant a cotton farm asap.

I found them on lush planets and on the start planet but they were rare and can be missed.
