And the items, you have to scan them (with the Examine mode of the Matter Manipulator - N). Once examined, the items may be available to be printed.
Does anyone know what to edit to make items printable?
Like the basic oven?
The things you can print are drawn from the items you've scaned with your matter manipulator.
I say "drawn from" meaning, that many things that you scan will indeed show up in the list, but many will not.
None of the oven station line of items seems to show up. None of the sets I've scaned from the Frogsmart have shown up.
There are definitely things out in the world that can be used, picked up, interacted with and cannot be either crafted or printed. Which ... is annoying.
EVERYTHING should be printable. If it's supposed to be rare, then make it more expensive in terms of pixels.
There are very few items that fall into that list. I can only think of a few cooking stations, elevators, things that break when hit, and story related items.
Not everything can be crafted just by picking it up, there are a ton of biome/dungeon specific blueprints to be found in chests in their respective biome/dungeon.
"EVERYTHING should be printable. If it's supposed to be rare, then make it more expensive in terms of pixels."
I second this ^
also you should be able to throw items and blocks into it to be able to add to it's database too!
at the end of the game there should be like 5 structures you need to build everything.
This one builds with money the rest with appropriate resources
One builds all weapons and armor you "scanned" (Replicator?)
One builds all decorations and furniture
One builds all electrical and railway
one deals with all the ore processing, refining, cooking, that sort of thing
Then at the late stage of the game to move you only need to pick up those five and take them to the next location.
if the game had cargo beaming tech, you could hook two teleporters together and throw resources into them to move all the stuff! XD

and a dang good one at that, but really, how do you not include this in the base game XD
You should know your audience is going to have varied taste and want to print it all!
