Had my first run-in with the Chucklefish forum mods...

I thought it was an exaggeration, but people were not lying about the heavy-handed and corrupt moderators on the Chucklefish forums.

I even messaged the mod, requesting evidence of me breaking the rules and he/she is simply not answering me. I can tell you it's because I didn't break any rules though. I posted about how the mods keep censoring the forums and they need to start taking their PR seriously, and some dude comes in and starts trolling me about how I was using the word "censor" incorrectly.

Next thing I know: my thread is closed and deleted, and I get two warning points.

This is getting ridiculous.

At least you have proof of the abuse. They flat-out deleted the entire thread because they knew I didn't do anything wrong and didn't want to face the flak for censoring unflattering posts about mod abuse.

This is amazing. It's pretty much the worst costomer service I've seen since talking to Comcast.

you can bully regular people all you want in the general Starbound forums but if you bully a mod? 2 week ban. If you even kind of make them think you might be insulting a mod you'll be banned.

you can just legit call other random people stupid though. That's fine

I've seen people get warnings for being rude to Chucklefish fanboys, and then completely skip over when the fanboys start calling people names.

I never should have expected objectivity from that website.

Reminds me of other forum i used to read quite long ago. There even was a rule that straight out forbid insulting mods and admins. The catch? Length of ban was at mod/admin discretion. But, unlike CF forum, mods there were more... butt-hurt resistant i guess.

Issabelle is one of those! Have you seen her profile on the forums there? It says and I quote: The one who locks! Now that should say enough. She is bossing around there with a large banhammer and is even trying damage control and telling people to just shut up. But never and I say it again! Never! Does she ban a white knight!

Steam forum supersedes the official forum. That seems to be for more hardcore fans. The majority of us are reading, posting and lurking here.
