no, finn. i am more than willing to call out and praise CF when i see them doing something i consider "right". i've done it both here and in the official forums. check my post history if you dont believe me.

it is not my fault i am given so much to complain about, and so few things that illicit praise.

i am forced to agree with stallinator, really. this isnt important. this is just another blunder in a long string of such blunders. however, how they respond to this (and every PR fiasco) is important. it's a big part of what shapes the public image. public image makes or breaks a company that produces content to sell to the public. especially a publishing house.

and i was serious, i need to know what tags for "diva devs" still work on the store page. i know they disabled "diva devs" itself.

Please, if I really thought this community was toxic I wouldn't be here. No one is forcing me to stay on Steam. I'm allowed to have my viewpoints, just as anyone else is allowed to have theirs.

Well Finn, I said it before to you and this person is saying the same. You arent really neutral. I hardly even see a white knight get banned by you, what? I never seen one. Well friends, I just saw thew news. This is not an AUCTUAL Goon Subforum. Let us pause for a brief moment and let that sink in. It is a same we won't be receiving any sort of special treatment here, where we can give each other high fives for smart quips. No friends I guess no internet jokes and tomfoolery for us. Yet rather than being silently mocked from afar i'm glad they have chosen to take the time to have taken the time to inform us.

Hey friend.

The leadership and the ability to find a middle ground shown here by our courageous mod staff should go to discredit the fact you think "Chucklefish is a mess" Just like CF they don't owe us anything either, even though we feel entitled to answers. It's no more diffrernt than expecting updates for a game that has already been paid for. How many more bans, locked threads, and half hearted explanations do you want before you are either told to speak with a mod about the problem and then be told to contact staff (where they don't owe us anything either) only to come back here frustrated but still entitled enough to post the same opinions. We should be thankful any sort of aggressive criticism is being looked at so we can talk about all the content that has been released so far. I can't recall the last time I saw a thread where we talked about how much we liked the game. I love this community and CF as much as the next person here. Sure we might not be fellow Goons like the mods here and the official forums and sure it gives them a free pass to to say and do anything they please, but we can't think we have that right either. In the end friend, we are just a group of fans who happen to love a game thats given us 20 to 30 hours of fun, it's like Tiy said.

I wouldn't call the work CF and Staff arre doing right now "drama" guys. They are working hard to control people who they think is trying to tear down the community and by us keeping posting threads about their behavior it does not help our cause any. Please friends, consider this.

Tiy has done his best to deliver us his masterpiece. Asking for anything else right now might be out of his skill set, which makes it a little unfair. I think thats why people are saying we as fans of the game are being "entitled". Leonardo da Vinci painted the "Last Supper" in the 1490s. I bet da Vinci had his fair share of aggressive criticism and questions, you know what his reply was "The Mona Lisa" in 1500.

Starbound is a gave that's alive and thriving. Swimming with content. The devs and staff consider us a focus group (and we should all be so lucky) and are willing to listen to any ideas and waays we can make the game better.

if you want me to be honest, i think you remain here out of pride, finn. of course you are allowed your opinion, finn. hey, at least you make the effort to pretend to be neutral.

i've MADE comments that equate to "i'm here to make sure CF fails". and yet, i'll still tell them when i think they have done a good job. i think you misjudge this group of people by assuming they respond as the lowest common denominator. hey, it's a very human mistake to make, we're kind of wired to think that way.

you were not reffering to me specifically, but see, the thing is... i'm a part of "people". so are you for that matter. when you say "people will do x", you are making a sweeping generalization. you really should not be surprised if a bunch of different people tell you "no, i do z".

I didn't make a sweeping generalization, a sweeping generalization would have been "most people are looking for anything to complain about" I only said people. I even thought about specifying "some" or "a few", but I really didn't think I'd have to break it down for people that I was only suggest that there are a handful of people out there that actually do go from forum to forum doing things like that just because it's something to do. I'll make sure to be explicit the next time I make such a statement.

As for the subject of the Goon Subforum on Something Awful, I believe Tiy has said what he wanted to say on the subject.

A Question About Shoehead

So, with this whole Goon Subforum thing, I'm curious. Unless the image posted was fabricated, which it probably isn't, considering that it's pinned, the only person we can completely prove
involvement is Shoehead. He is seen in the image, and says "I don't think they found the Tiy profitsharing thread I think we are cool."

He then replies to that image with:
"Just an update on this it's 2am GMT at the moment so the thread both here and on the Official Forums are closed until we can get in touch with someone to answer any questions about this. Thanks for your patience."

Who does he need to 'get in touch with?' His lawyer? Aside from Finn, it's effectively been radio silence from the entirety of Chucklefish. Clearly this is a big problem, and he knows about it one way or another. I would think 23 hours and counting would be more than enough time for him to clue us in as to what is going on.

So, your move Chucklefish.

P.S. is this 'relevant, constructive and polite' enough for you, Finn?

Hi! No you misunderstood me a little. I wasn't around when the forum was originally made and there really wasn't anyone around at the time to make any real statement about it. It's not my forum I just help mod it, you know? So I couldn't really talk for someone else.

Pretty much what Sledra said on the CF forum. There were a few ideas threads and a modding thread and then like 20 threads making fun of Braww and ♥♥♥♥ posts. The few posts that goon leaked are pretty representative of what went on in there
