(I am not a builder type of player, so I build the minimum I can, at least until I unlock everything, then I can enjoy the sandbox)
Playing a game is only about having fun, not about playing it "right" (now it would be fun to define that notion at all: to play a game right... if I don't then I play it wrong? Can you play wrong in a sandbox?) Or play it unmodded/vanilla.
After 215 hours on Starbound, trust me I am FINE and I am having fun, or I would move on to play something else.
I am grinding rare ores, research tree, loot, mechs, techs, quests, upgrading my tools... I worked my way up to advanced plastic and I am building stuff, just probably not as much as you guys do.
Honestly this is my fun with the game. For now.
But the research tree now requires an insane amount of currency that I don't know how to generate properly, hence why I asked.
You tell me to go back to FU tutorial quests and grind, ok, that's fine, I will do that.
I did not know planet tier would affect research generated, I guess that it is my bottleneck, since I am extracting blocks and liquids all the time without generating much research.
I guess I should build a base on a decent tiered planet instead of expanding my ship to put in more and more crafting stations...
Let me know if you still want to know how.
Home ship counts as tier 0 and has the slowest research.
