Maybe try doing a duo play through with them first time to help them have a chance to learn while you help keep them safe?
I'll try to elaborate. I used to play this years back and have about 36 hours clocked in(Some of it with Frackin' Universe) so I already have a run down on how the gameplay works, but to keep matters short between now and then some stuff happened and now a mouse+keyboard just isn't ergonomic for me when it comes to gameplay.
Specifically what I'm looking for is a "Smart Cursor" and auto-lock on, sort of like what Terraria has for gamepad users that makes mining and combat feasible for that mode of gameplay.
I can play the game some, but turning around and keeping on top of things combat wise just isn't feasible anymore, and it makes the matter manipulator clunky since I lack the precision and speed of the mouse. Unfortunately, it's just not something I can really have fun with at the time, ergo why we're looking for the "terraria" option/cheat/mod.
Edit:Just adding I've worked with all the weapon classes, unfortunately this is a problem that spans all of them.
Question: How hard is it to aim?
Like, are you capable of atleast vaguely pointing at your targets position?
Need this info, so I can figure out how I should implement & configure the tracker that marks the targets.
I can aim and shoot at stuff/move the cursor over mobs, but I can't be very precise with it and it takes a lot of work and time to turn around/shift my aim while also keeping the target under fire and evading. It gets especially dicey if I'm surrounded or faced with multiple targets, or something airborne/aquatic that moves around a lot.
If I could just get the cursor to stick to the target I put it over with a button press and shift it to another if need be like in Terraria, I think I'll be golden.
I really appreciate you taking the time to help, thanks Anter.
As someone who has always had issues with standard mice, I must ask: have you tried using a trackball mouse like the Logitech M570[smile.amazon.com]?
It's a bit basic but should do its job well enough.

If you don't yet have access to Penguin Bay, you can use the following command to spawn in the Aimbot Maker:
Its a bit generalised, you may want to give it a bigger scanning radius than the default (60 makes mid-range aiming obsolete, 120 will often target stuff that's offscreen)
I couldn't really give it an on/off button, doing so will either conflict with modded weapons or will require the sacrifice of a tech slot.
You can keep on you a non-aimbotted weapon if you want the ability to shoot at something without it snapping to the nearest enemy.
Also, it works best with assault rifles that have fast moving bullets, it does not have any compensation for gravity-based projectiles or moving targets.
antrutilitylib Guess I should read before I ask. >.< Sorry.
It requires itself and my global function library.
Also, it doesn't really need setup, just open up the Aimbot Maker, give it a range, press "Spawn" and use the non-consumable augment on an aimable weapon (works on most spears aswell).
If you want to visually see what its doing, turn on "Debug Mode" in the Aimbot Maker & use the command /debug.
Probably because I accidentally deleted my post while trying to edit it :P
Thank you again so much for taking the time to do this. Didn't see a Patreon or anything on your stuff, but if you make good mods / content then I'm happy to donate.
To Anter my hats off to you bro. And respect to you.
