I dont want to use mods and still too short. ( Except for Overwatch mech)
Having them small let the devs limit the hitbox for mechs to just the mech body, which goes very well with the choice to control the defense and shield stats solely by which mech body you use. And for a bonus perk, it keeps the mechs short so you don't have to dig out a massive area if you're using them for walking around on a planet.
The only thing that bothers me about how they have the mechs set up is that most mech bodies look like mech heads instead of bodies.... which makes them appear more childish rather than being "cool" space robots.
Yes you do. A game without mods is like eating pasta with no sauce, it works, you might think you like it, but adding sauce just makes it so much better and you'll never be able to go back afterwards.

You should probably uninstall then because you are "cheating" every time you play. A lot of mods were integrated into the game during early access. By your logic every time you use a rail or turret you are cheating. Don't even think about playing as Novakids because they were also community created.
