How does one find mech blueprints in order to make a better mech?

Just search all containers. There is usually, if not always, a mech blueprint in one of the containers.

Yeah I have been through about ten ships and 4 space stations and not found one

I think there are no blueprints on stations...
Are you sure that you checked ALL the containers?

In my experience, the container at the bridge of ships (especially hostile ones) have the best chance of dropping mech part blueprints. Though I've also found one or two in different containers on hostile ships.

Usually they are tier based. Low hostility have a range of upgrades. Moderate, another. Etc.

I have done more than a dozen missions in anomalies and hostile ships.

So far I have found 3 or 4 plans, at least one double.


The one I recall best is a cultist themed part i found on a cultist themed ship.
I guess it's very luck based

How to I upgrade it though? I have several and dont know what to do with them.

Why the necropost tho?
As for upgrading, I think you use them like you would use any other blueprint and then craft them at the mech parts table next to the assembly station (AFAIK)
