Good news for you: Magnorbs is still in game - you sometimes find it in chests on Extreme and Inconceivable threat planets. Also, the rainbow sword is the Asuterosaberu DX (but the internal name is astrosabredx), which can be found in the same places as Magnorbs.

I hesitate between the protector's broadsword (with it's cool combos and ♥♥♥♥) and the vintage scoped rifle (because i just love the sprite, and it's still viable in end-game)

Technically, every Legendary weapon is a unique weapon. In the case of the Vintage Scoped Rifle, though, it's basically an optimized common tier 5 sniper rifle with a unique appearance and a fixed secondary ability (which can be found on common generated sniper rifles, too), so it's arguably one of the least unique unique weapons.

I go by the classification. Like, how the two handed swords say broadsword. For the unique weapons I typically count, it'll say that in the classification area.
