is there a way to kill npcs on my ship?

ive got that annoying crew member dupe glitch and now i have like 6 tailors if i dismiss em they just stay on the ship i wanna get rip of em
is there a command or a mod or anything i can do to get rip of em?

I think if dismiss the old crew members then talk to the new ones they'll register on the chart again.

If you dismiss the crew member - and wait a little while - it will "repopulate" the crew list.
That way you can keep dismissing until they are all removed.

only works on crew mates that follow you like soldiers but on the tailor it just dismisses and keeps em as useless NPCs

You should report that as a bug - dismissing should work on all npcs.

A bit of a fix i found to these issues.

If a NPC persist to leave, Dunk them in lava.
This will kill the NPC.

Avoid using tailors.
I've found that tailors cause the "Dupe glitch" (It seems they try to follow you to a planet when they cannot)
So set your crew uniform, Dismiss the tailor.

Any NPC that persist (if it isn't a tailor) If you dismissed the orginal one, just talk to them and warp to the surface.

If you didn't dismiss them, Grab the orginal copy and the clones and teleport to the surface.


But i've done multiple test about this, My main notice to what caused the issue was infact the Tailors, After talking to every other NPC -- My crew just follows normally.

Though once i talk to the tailors. Things seem to start glitching and they dupe.

and im dont think tailors are the only ones becasue ive had this glitch with another character were i only had 2 soldiers

Hmmm.

Okay ideas here

We know tailors cause it (Confirmed by two friends and me)
We also know it happens at random,Try getting as many crew members as you can to follow you at all times (Or as many as you have)?


But Tailors are BY FAR One of the major causes to this issue.
You don't need to do alot of testing with the tailors to notice this.

Just burn them with lava. Burn the tailors with lava. Burn your entire crew with lava. Dump lava all over your ship until it looks like something that should be on a Tier 6 lava planet. LAVA WILL RULE ALL!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

But seriously, just make them follow you into a seperate room of your ship, close the door, and then drop some lava around. Not too much, keep it clean, and if you have issues removing the lava dump water on it so it changes into mineable magmarock.

EDIT: Also I have never had any problems with tailors even though I have had one since I beat the Floran quest about 35 hours of playtime ago. What exactly is causing this only for some people?

Or if it isn't a Tailor just hit E on them and teleport to the surface.
(And hit E on the clone too)
