I have been searching for hours on savanahs and deserts and im having lots of trouble getting this item. If nobody has ideas that dont involve fluffalo, then ill just get him. but i'd rather not spend pixels on that.

An easier way is buy fire fluffalo eggs from terramart at the outpost. Raise those puppies and harvest them as soon as they're ready. Evidently their "wool" is scorched cores. Now there's a hot commodity.

If you're looking in Arid Biomes, only that red fire fox creature drops Scorched Cores.

You'll want to use bows for higher drop rate.

Volcanic and Scorched planets have the most fire element monsters that have higher Scorched Core drop rates.

lemme help you out bro,you can actually get these from doing the 3rd quest for Nuru the snake chick from completing the floran quest,and you can get them from llava or volcanic planets.once you get 1 you can actually craft them
