Best way to get destroyer of worlds achievment?

Since it requires so much mining, should I just get it slowly over time by mining things and playing the game or is there a faster way?

The achievement tracks blocks you pick up, because the game can't track blocks you destroy.
Thus, you can fill your inventory with blocks, remove your EPP, and fill your ship teleporter room with water so that you'll constantly drown, drop everything, respawn, and pick everything back up, counting towards the achievement each time.

Just make sure you voxelize all your pixels and store them in a chest or locker before you do so
