Stuck in the first mission "Explore the orbited planet"

I have the first mission "explore the orbited planet"
that leads me to a door but when I click E on it it says "you cannot enter because you have not completed a specific mission to get the tricorder" or something like that.
I don't have another mission except the one to explore the orbited planet.. ?
What am I'm doing wrong?

You need to find giant slug NPC and do a couple of missions for him. After he sends you to investigate mysterious energy source, you can walk through the door in the mines.

huh, did they change something? I recently started a new character a few days ago and all i had to do was find the portal to the outpost. Then input 20 core fragments.
