Easiest/Fastest way to modify the MM to dig 8x8 or more?

Hey there,

I know there's a seperate Mod Thread for this game and I allready posted my issue there, but not sure how many people are really active there since I don't get any answers.

After a break from Starbound of approx. 1 1/2 years I'm playing it again and just want to mine like I always do: By digging big tunnels all around the planet. In the past there were some nice Mods to heavy increase the Dig Field of the Matter Manipulator or to dropt some bada** Mining Mechs/Pods.

Me can't find such mods nowadays.

So if anyone can tell me whats the easiest way (maybe by altering an existing mod) to make my MM dig up to 8x8 or even larger Areas, I would be really happy

Hey. Thank you, but it's not the Mining Speed I'm worrying about. Maybe sounds crazy but it would be even boring if I can dig every kind of block instant. I'm really just looking for a way to dig a larger field at once, so I can mine straight lines/tunnels without to realign or move the Manipulator all the time up and down. :/

Sounds strange, I know, but dunno how to explain it.

U need a mod to destroy big chunks of ground. Idk if there a mod to do that.

Hello Mongoose and thank you. I saw this mod, too, but sadly it's a little bit to unpersonal. I don't just want to blast away the planet, I want to dig myself. But a little bit faster and more efficient as with the vanilla tools possible.

I'm wondering why it seems to be that I'm alone with that kind of desire. Especially because last time I played this game (approx 1-1,5 years ago) there were several mods available. But for some reasons they're all gone by now.
