Fixing Starbound Co-op multiplayer
First off, the game is much better than it used to be. Being able to play at your own pace without so much progression pushing you is so good. The only thing I have problems with is joining servers with my friends specifically. Right now you have to activate the outpost teleporters on every server you go on, instead of it being client sided in which it should be. There should also be an option for parties that let you share quests. Now I dont know if that is ever possible when starting out in singleplayer but just configure it a little bit, like for example if everyone is present in the boss area or in the radius of a boss or quest area it updates even if you didnt do anything.

Im pretty sure the teleporter thing cant be fixed because for every universe, theres an outpost different from the one you have, which you never visited.

That's why it should be client sided, but then that means quests can't work. Which makes the game worse. That's why so many games like this failed before, and it's probablly why Terraria didnt add in quests like this. Good point.

No, you dont understand, it cant be clientsided because all players need to be in the same universe, however *your* outpost is in a different universe than the hosts one, and you cant edit the hosts universe, making it impossible to get to your outpost.
